Key Asbestos Laboratory Test Features
Lifetree Asbestos (Singapore) Pte Ltd is a SAC (Singapore Accreditation Council) accredited public testing service which utilizes standard methods and techniques to conduct asbestos testing.

Types of Asbestos Testing at Lifetree
Our laboratory is adept the following types of tests for identifying and analyzing asbestos:

Asbestos Bulk Identification
We perform qualitative identification of soils and bulk samples in accordance with AS 4964 and our ingenious in-house method, PM1 to identify the 3 main types of asbestos- Chrysotile, Amosite, Crocidolite- and non-asbestos fibres such as organic fibres and synthetic fibres.
We specialize in qualitative analysis of asbestos using Polarised Light Microscopy and Dispersion Staining techniques. Fast, accurate, and inexpensive, these techniques help identify the presence of asbestos in a range of building materials and Industrial products materials.
Air Testing and Asbestos Fibre Counting
Where there’s a likelihood of the air containing asbestos particles i.e. there’s presence of airborne asbestos, air testing and asbestos fibre counting can measure the actual levels of exposure.
We estimate airborne asbestos fibres using PCM (Phase Contrast Microscopy) technique as outlined in NIOSH7400 and our in-house method, PM3. We establish the exact geometry of the fibres, as only fibres above a particular size limit pose a threat to health.
We have a team of highly experienced and fully qualified professionals with profound knowledge of the standard testing methods and procedures recommended by governmental agencies for asbestos testing. So, when you send test samples to us, you can rest assured that only the best techniques will be used to analyze them.
